We offer different long-term and short-term internships for law and business students in our international and experienced lobbying law firm. Alber & Geiger combines former top EU officials and politicians and high profile EU attorneys. It tackles problems as a multi-specialty team. We efficiently combine our diverse abilities, insights, and relationships built over years to identify opportunities for clients and forestall threats. For our EU lobbying activities we draft on behalf of our clients legislation, lead through settlement negotiations and strategic interaction with legislators and decision makers. Additionally, our leading EU litigators provide our clients with expert assistance for the litigation process before the European Court of Justice.
Because of our firm ideology all interns are permanently encouraged to support our projects, lobbying activities and EU litigation matters before the ECJ on their own responsibility while we give advices and are certainly prepared to answer any questions at all times. We offer you the opportunity to attend your internship from your home or university since our main communication tool is the internet and telephone. This leads to a high amount of autonomy as well as discreteness for the interns and is caused by the fact that our work takes place not only in Brussels but also in all EU Member States. While consequently a high degree of flexibility of our partners is expected, we are at the same time not bound by one working location which allows us this comfortable co-operation with our interns. Certainly, we expect the same flexibility from our interns, too. In return we are able to provide interesting experiences for students that take stock in European studies, be it legal matters before the ECJ or political matters before the responsible European institutions, and give insights into the operating system of the European Union.
